David Beckham is Facing New Challenges for MLS Stadium

The opening of the MLS stadium, scheduled for 2021, is now facing some new challenges and they are not exactly coming from the city this time. Landowner Bruce Matheson, sued the county to block the proposed stadium because he assures that Miami-Dade County gave Beckham “a secret discount from the taxpayers” (INTERESTING…).

Miami League Soccer has always wanted to have their own stadium, but it wasn’t until Beckham partnered with Marcelo Claure, CEO of Sprint, Jorge and Jose Mas and Simon Fuller, creator of American Idol, to launch the franchise in this past January (even though the deal was based on appraisals from late 2015).
