Move over tacos, arepas are here and are the newest Latin craze in town! A culinary gift from Venezuela, arepas are made of maize corn and are naturally gluten free. Served hot and fresh off the grill, these round corn patties can be filled with cheese, meat, veggies or butter. They also offer Cachapas, a sweet and salty corn delicacy which served in a variety of ways, Latin inspired bowls, plus an assortment of healthy dishes and desserts too. Be sure to visit them for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Your arepa craving is now easy to satisfy at Amaize, a fast casual restaurant and new local hangout popping up all over South Florida. The Floridian Foodie, Floridian First Realty’s very own broker, Michelle Gonzalez is happy to have been a part of spreading this new concept. She helped Amaize open up their three latest locations in Aventura, Sawgrass Mills and Miami Lakes. Michelle recommends the Arepizza, a gluten free open faced arepa with tomato sauce and delicious melted cheese.
